THE ENDING

The book ends by explaining that the Phantom decided that Christine’s happiness was with Raoul and not with him. He then lets her go. Unfortunately, in the climax Christine is accidentally shot as the Phantom tries to calm a crazed Meg Giry (who you may remember as Christine's opera friend), jealous of the affection the Phantom bestows upon Christine. Christine dies in the Phantom's arms after declaring her love for him will never die.

Finally, it is shown that even after years, the Phantom still remembers Christine and loves her.

I like this ending and the story in general because i love romantic stories.
